Practice Makes Perfect

Today I decided to try out the Rainbow Loom. It was brought to my attention that people probably think that an adult is giving Jacy the ideas to post the videos. In all honesty, every single design is hers. When we are filming the tutorials we are amazed at how she comes up with these designs. The adults in our family have never used the Rainbow Loom until today.I like baseball, so I thought I would try to make a Rainbow Loom baseball. It’s an advanced pattern and I thought I would follow the video and be able to make it. I guess I should have started with a beginner pattern. I am almost embarrassed to admit this but I found it very hard. I don’t know how Jacy figured out how the rubber bands would stay together. Mine fell completely apart. She and her sister made one with me and theirs turned out perfect! They both kept telling me that practice makes perfect. So those of you that watch her videos and they fall apart too, practice will make perfect. After 3 tries, I finally made a perfect Rainbow Loom baseball! Here’s some advice from Jacy…..If you get frustrated, try a beginner pattern and then come back to the advanced designs once you know what you are doing. You can also keep on trying until you get it right. Finally, have fun and keep on living a Craft Life!
